The STORM XT52 lamp head weighs 27.80kg (61.29lbs), and can be lifted by one person and operated on a standard crank stand. The portable XT52 control box is the size of a briefcase and weighs just 13.40kg (29.54lbs).

The Aputure STORM XT52 is a 5200W point-source LED monolight designed for large-scale film and TV productions. It offers a tunable CCT range of 2500K–10,000K, powered by the advanced BLAIR chipset for outstanding accuracy. The fixture features IP65-rated weather protection, rugged modular construction with removable yoke and stackable lamp head, and compatibility with Aputure’s electronic modifiers. It includes a bare-ends cable, a 7.5 m (24.6 ft) head cable extendable up to 45 m (147.6 ft), and two wheeled flight cases for transport. Chipset, Light Quality & Performance:

The BLAIR chipset (Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, Red) ensures CRI/TLCI >96 and SSI of 86/87 (daylight/tungsten), with ±G 100% green-magenta adjustment. It delivers up to 103,500 lux at 3 m with a 35° reflector, surpassing industry-standard 6000W HMIs. Indigo emitters enhance fluorescing materials, while HSIC+ and x,y modes enable saturated colors covering 70% of Rec.2020. The HyperDrive LED driver provides flicker-free operation above 20% output, ideal for high-speed shooting. Mounting, Power & Connectivity:

The electronic Aputure mount supports heavy-duty, motorized modifiers such as CF14 and CF16 Fresnel, with interchangeable 20°, 35°, and 50° reflectors. The XT52 can operate from standard circuits (requires 180V or higher for full output) and runs at full power on 6500W generators, with power draw up to 6000W when extended cables are used. Connectivity options include Sidus Link app control, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net/sACN via etherCON, and 16-bit DMX512 I/O. Advanced liquid cooling ensures thermal stability, while the IP65 rating guarantees protection across the lamp head, control box, cables, and modifiers.
